He started building with his grandfather, “Capt” Ben Welch, and continued to work under his father, David Welch, tutelage. His first solo project was a renovation at the age of 19, for which he was bitten by the building “bug”. He hasn’t stopped since and continues to work in both the residential and commercial fields of construction. He has been married for 18 yrs and has 2 teenage sons.
